Cincinnati Nature Center – Discovery Trail

The Mashburn Family Discovery Trail is a one mile all-person’s trail developed to highlight the Nature Center’s main geological, historical, and biological components located on the grounds of this 100-acre nature center in Cincinnati.

We led the educational staff through the concept and content development of 13 interactive interpretive displays and facilitated focus groups to incorporate features for the visually impaired and coordinated formative evaluation through the process of design.

In addition to design, we worked with land management department on the trail and bridges to meet compliance with federal guidelines for trail construction and support was given to the Development Director on grant applications for the trail, which received $150,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.
