Good Samaritan – Vincennes

Good Samaritan Hospital is a 232-bed community healthcare facility that serves southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois. In 2012, the hospital began a facility master plan which encompasses a complete renovation of the current facility. It also includes building a new 200,000 square-foot, 120-bed, five-story inpatient tower.

To achieve the hospital’s vision of becoming a regional center of excellence, the wayfinding system throughout the facility needed to be modernized. Swath’s wayfinding solution created a system that used updated colors, materials, and graphics while incorporating a nature theme that reflected the region. The familiarity added a soothing level of comfort needed for this small-town hospital.
