West Virginia University School of Medicine, along with the affiliated schools of the WVU Health Sciences Center, four community hospitals, three critical access hospitals, and a children’s hospital, have all come together to form WVU Medicine. This collaboration is anchored by a 645-bed academic medical center.

WVU Medicine leveraged Swath’s expertise to develop a wayfinding strategy, design branded signage, and create and implement signage standards for their new brand. Drawing from an established palette of graphic components and brand standards, a sign system was devised to ensure consistency across the physical WVU Medicine landscape. This results in a user friendly, easily recognizable, and cohesive signage system throughout the healthcare system.
