In a day when people used rotary phones and tweeting was only something birds did, siblings Greg Lange and Anne Wheeler spent a lot of money on long distance phone calls. The two discussed their passion for design and a lifelong dream of combining their individual talents to create a dynamic graphic design firm of their own. Plowing through their Rolodexes and racking up more long distance calls, they quickly built a busy strategic design studio, Lange Wheeler Design Group. They became experts in evaluating, planning, designing, and applying visual systems for complex environments including healthcare, entertainment, and higher education spaces. In 1994 Greg’s “better half” came along and brought her abacus and ledger book to manage the day-to-day business operations. In 2001, Anne decided the long hours of doodling and coloring were better spent with her young children and sold
her interest in the business to put family first. In 2003 with a new name, Swath Design, the firm continued to provide exceptional design solutions. As Greg focused on client relationships, Sandie’s business expertise set the foundation for future growth, and with that Greg issued her the controlling majority of ownership in 2012. Swath Design became a woman-owned business with a comprehensive and expansive understanding of disciplines such as environmental graphic design, wayfinding, branding, architecture and interior design, theming, identity design, interactive media, print communications, and marketing. For 30+ years, we have been creating engaging moments using our adaptive process for our clients changing needs while focused on providing audiences with a positive experience they will remember.
Cincinnati Landmark Productions
We are proud to have been part of Cincinnati Landmark Productions growth over the years and continue our support by providing design services as each new season comes to the stage.
Cincinnati Landmark Productions is a 32 year-old theater organization that brings the best live entertainment to the Cincinnati area. They bring local professional talent to two of the region’s most exciting venues, The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts and the Warsaw Federal Incline Theater. For over 23 years they also brought summer-stock shows aboard the nation’s last original and intact showboat called the Showboat Majestic. Every summer they conduct a premier teen theater experience, the Cincinnati Young People’s Theatre, where experienced instructors prepare teens in areas of acting, improvisation, theater skills, and music with the end result being an actual performance.
